Patient Account Representative - Lockport Internal Medicine / Pediatrics
Summary:
Greets and directs patients and visitors, performing all registration functions upon arrival. Answers incoming calls and schedules patient appointments in an efficient and timely manner. Responsible for filing and retrieval of medical records. Handles billing functions for the office, including verification of insurance, coordination or referrals, attainment of necessary pre-authorization, coding and charge entry as appropriate.
Education and experience:
High school graduate or GED required.
Six (6) months of billing and ICD and CPT coding experience and health care experience, preferrably in a physician office required.
Additional Information
Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
